About The Author

Parviz F. Rad, PhD, PE, CCE, PMP, is a project management consultant with more than 35 years of experience in government, industry, and academe. He has worked on the development of new quantitative project management tools for use in many disciplines, including software development, construction, and pharmaceutical research. Formerly the editor of the Project Management Journal, Dr. Rad has authored and coauthored more than 60 publications in engineering and project management. Vittal S. Anantatmula, DSc, CCE, is the director of the graduate program in project management, School of Business, The George Washington University. Previously he worked in the petroleum and power industries as an electrical engineer and project manager. As a consultant, his clients have included the World Bank, Arthur Andersen, and other international consulting firms.
