About The Author | Paul Crilley is a Scotsman adrift in South Africa and has been writing professionally for the past 17 years. In that time he has worked on over thirteen television shows, one of which was nominated for an international Emmy award. He has worked with Fox Television, written ten novels, worked on five computer games, and is currently making his way in the comic book field. (He conceptualized the entire story and wrote three issues of the six issue comic book mini-series, X-Files: Conspiracy, where he had to come up with a story that brought The Transformers, Ghostbusters, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Crow into one coherent story. He recently completed an X-Files novella and a Hardy Boys novel. Poison City is his debut adult novel. |
Blazes with pace and wit – Crilley has produced a real page turner |
|
Other text | The fog-choked sequel to Poison City, about which Claire North raves, 'Rarely has policing the apocalypse been so awesome!' |
Back Cover Copy | COP. DRUNKARD. LOW-GRADE MAGIC USERMy name is Gideon Tau, but most people just call me London. (Because that's where I'm from. Get it? Hilarious.)Last year, I sacrificed everything (the human race included) to learn the name of my daughter's killer, and then had to give that knowledge up in order to save the world I'd doomed. And now, with only the reanimated corpse of my boss, a low-rent P.I. who's heavily into conspiracy theories, and my alcoholic, foul-mouthed, demonic dog by my side, I have to save the world again. (Yeah, karma's a b*tch.) But this time it's from Fae gangs fighting over the streets of London and the Seven Deadly Sins.Oh yeah. And did I mention planning a heist to break into the most secure bank in Faerie? Because that's on the agenda too. And if we fail? An ancient horned god will destroy London. (The city, not me. Although, to be fair, I don't think I'll survive either.) [Quote to come x2] Paul Crilley is a Scotsman living in South Africa who has been writing professionally for the past eighteen years.
