About The Author | Novelist, screenwriter, adapter and former publisher Antonia Hodgson has written four acclaimed historical novels. Her first novel, The Devil in the Marshalsea, won the CWA Historical Dagger 2014 and was shortlisted for the Theakston's Crime Novel of the Year, the John Creasey Dagger for Best First Novel and the HWA Debut Crown. It was also a Richard & Judy and Waterstones Book Club selection. Her second historical book, The Last Confession of Thomas Hawkins, was published in 2015 to widespread critical acclaim. However, fantasy has always been her first love and she is now writing the first book in an epic trilogy. Antonia was born and grew up in Derby and studied English at the University of Leeds. She lives in London. |
The Raven Scholar is a labyrinth of a book – vast and intricate, full of fiendish twists and clever traps – with a deeply human heart at its centre. It's thrilling, romantic, often tragic, and always funny; I'm obsessed |
