It is lovely to see the joy brought to children by making things as simple as doodle birds, paper snowflakes, paper chains and quilled cards. So effective yet oh, so simple! My particular favourite was making animals out of leaf prints whereby you develop your animal from the print made by one leaf: long leaves become giraffes; rounded leaves become lions, and so on.
