About The Author | Theo Knell joined the British Army in 1970 less than a month after his eighteenth birthday. He spent the next twenty-two years in the service of his country, first with a cavalry regiment the 17th/21st Lancers before moving on to the Parachute Regiment, and ultimately a life with Special Forces including the SAS. During his time he saw service all over the world, from Northern Ireland to the Middle East, Central Africa and the Far East. He left the army as a Warrant Officer 'Sergeant Major'.
