About The Author | Michael Vaughan was born in Manchester in 1974. He made his county debut with Yorkshire in 1993, and his England debut against South Africa in 1999. In 2002, his international career took off; he scored six centuries during the course of the year, four of these during the summer against Sri Lanka and India. In the subsequent Ashes series in Australia, Michael Vaughan was named Player of the Series. He is one of the leading batsmen in the world, and was made captain of the England team in the summer of 2003. |
