Description
Renegade dark elf Drizzt Do’Urden has found a place to call home—Icewind Dale—even if it only accepts him begrudgingly. But soon that home faces a terrible threat in the form of failed wizard Akar Kessel, who wields—and has been consumed by—the seemingly unstoppable power of the Crystal Shard. Can Drizzt and his friends, the dwarf Bruenor and the barbarian Wulfgar, rally the disparate inhabitants of the Dale to face their common enemy before it’s too late? The first book by R.A. Salvatore and the first appearance of his most popular creation, The Crystal Shard is presented here in an exciting graphic novel adaption that will thrill both fans of the writer and D&D players old and new. The book was also the inaugural installment (albeit the fourth in story chronology) in his long-running series The Legend of Drizzt, many books of which have been adapted to comic form by IDW.

Salvatore Library at his alma mater, Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. |
