METRO

The METRO literary series is a world bestselling dystopian trilogy of novels set in the post-apocalyptic world of Moscow, Russia two decades after a nuclear war. These books are the base for the cult video gaming franchise of the same title – and the book author Dmitry Glukhovsky has contributed to the storytelling in the video games.

Not only the books are the base for the video games, they also fill in the story in between the gaming titles – so, for a comprehensive experience, we advise you to both read and play the Metro.

The books are to be read in the following order:

1. Metro 2033
2. The Gospel According to Artyom (a novella following the first book)
3. Metro 2034
4. Metro 2035

A graphic novel based on Metro 2033 is also available, but in German language only.
